With the great challenges that we are facing, especially with the pandemic, connectivity has been essential for work and personal relationships. And in this challenging moment that we are living, with many “lives” and zooms, skypes, and all these communication tools, we got to realize that there are certain things that are irreplaceable, the human contact.

And human contact may not be as it was before.

The home office was already destined to increase considerably. However, the world is not seeing this event naturally, as the process has been dramatically accelerated due to the latest health and political events. Even so, whether due to germophobia, practicality, or to be able to work from the comfort of your house, the option of working remotely is already a reality and has been gaining more and more popularity all around the world.

Carefully observing this overwhelming presence in the digital market, Extended DISC developed a new report to help companies and people who seek to adapt and improve their performance in a remote work environment. Extended DISC is a highly accurate profile analysis system, increasingly sought after by individuals, entrepreneurs, business people and the corporate in order to better know themselves and their staff to improve performance in many different scenarios.

This new report allows you to understand how you communicate, and how the other person communicates, developing ta better way to communicate through a single video call, a voice message, an email, conference call with a team, with the client, and among all stakeholders. Some of the resources covers:

  • Self-observation: the employee starts to analyze, discover or recognize his strengths and weaknesses in order to improve as a professional and solve problems more quickly and objectively;

  • Interaction: the employee gets to know his colleagues better, seeing them without prejudice, that is, in a more truthful and practical way. In addition, he also learns how his colleagues see him, improving his behaviour towards them. That way, everyone takes better advantage of their relationship and learn to improve their performance as a team;

  • Communicability: your way of expressing yourself, both in writing and speaking, is improved so that it is as quick as it is understandable;

Therefore, it is necessary that leaders are open-minded and understand the importance of this new communication style, integrating team members who will be working in-office and out-of-office. In a more empathetic way, teams are trained to do more focused and collaborative work in order to meet the needs of the company, and the needs of team members, who need to not only be involved but motivated.

Based on this, I am bringing a new report from Extended DISC, “Communication: Adjusting your style in a Workplace and Virtual Environment” that extracts relevant information from the participants through self-analysis, perception of the other and how to deal with the different profiles. It is easier to understand that short thick email or that super detailed text message. Enabling each to adapt to the other's way, to the behavioural style of each, and also discovering where you can improve to be able to understand and be understood.

With the application of the report, it is possible to communicate in a more empathetic and collaborative way, meeting the needs of the company, the team and integrating into the new scenario with more productivity and high performance without losing balance.
